Booking and Pricing
2–3 weeks for local moves, 4–6 weeks for long-distance or end-of-month dates. We do keep a short-notice cancellation list.
Local moves are hourly after a walkthrough; long-distance moves get a binding written estimate based on weight and inventory.
Local moves typically require no deposit; long-distance and full-service jobs require a deposit to hold your date, credited to your final invoice.
Credit card, debit card, ACH bank transfer, and cash. See the full list on our Contact page.
Local moves are billed hourly based on crew size and time on the job; long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate based on weight and distance. Every quote is free and takes about ten minutes over the phone or a short video walkthrough.
Yes, every quote is free with no obligation, whether it’s by phone, video walkthrough, or an in-home visit.
Moving Day
You’ll get a 2-hour arrival window and a text alert when the truck leaves the yard, so you’re never guessing.
No, stairs, walk-ups, and reasonable carry distances are included in our standard hourly rate.
Yes, with at least 48 hours’ notice for local moves and 5 business days for long-distance moves, subject to availability.
Tipping isn’t required, but most clients tip $20–$40 per mover for a full day’s work if they’re happy with the service. It’s entirely optional and never expected.
You or someone you authorize needs to be present at both the pickup and drop-off to walk the crew through and sign off at the end, but you don’t need to lift a single box.
Packing and Protection
Released-value coverage is included at no charge but pays out per pound per item; full-value protection covers repair or replacement cost and is available as an add-on at every tier.
Yes, though self-packed boxes carry a lower liability tier than crew-packed ones since we can’t verify what’s inside.
Every truck carries shrink wrap, furniture pads, and waterproof mattress bags as standard equipment, rain or shine.
Hazardous materials like propane, gasoline, paint, and ammunition, along with perishable food and certain live plants, generally can’t go on the truck. We’ll flag anything during your walkthrough so you can transport it yourself.
Yes, bed frames, tables, and standard shelving are broken down for transport and rebuilt at your new place at no extra charge.
Choosing a Mover
Look for a WUTC-licensed household goods carrier, verifiable insurance, and reviews you can check independently on Google or Yelp, not just testimonials on a company’s own site. A legitimate mover will also give you a written estimate, not just a number over the phone.
Yes, we’re a licensed WUTC Household Goods Carrier (#[License Number]) and fully insured on every job, with documentation available on request.
Late spring through early fall books fastest and sees the least rain, but we run crews year-round. If you have flexibility, moving mid-month and mid-week is usually easiest to schedule and often the least expensive.
A 1-bedroom apartment usually takes 3–4 hours door to door; a 3-bedroom house often runs 6–8 hours. Crew size and stairs are the biggest factors. We’ll give you a realistic estimate during your quote.
